Douglasville Chiropractic Adjustment

After your initial consultation and exam, any follow-up Douglasville chiropractic adjustment will be done in an area on a cushioned adjustment table. All of our clients remain fully clothed for the duration of each visit, and we recommend you wear loose and non-restrictive clothing to make it easier for you stretch comfortably. Part of your adjustments may be done while you are face down, while other adjustments may be completed while you are on your side, sitting upright or resting on your back.

Our adjustment bays help keep the adjustment procedure moving smoothly and allow families to be a part of the entire process. We are happy to accommodate individuals or families who may specifically request a private room for their adjustments.

Why is there a popping sound when a joint is adjusted?

Adjustments and manipulation of your joints often results in a popping sound. The same thing occurs when you “crack” your knuckles. The noise is caused by the change of pressure within the joint, which results in gas bubbles being released. There is usually minimal, if any, discomfort involved.

Is there a risk when adjusting my neck?

Neck pain and some types of headaches are treated through precise upper neck adjustments in the cervical region of the spine. These structural adjustments improve joint mobility in the neck, and restore range of motion and reduce the occurrence of muscle spasms. Neck manipulation, when performed by our skilled and experienced doctor, is a remarkably safe and effective procedure.
